Cutting Through The Noise
Hello friends,
I didn’t intend to be quiet here. Last year’s transitions and constant outputs were plentiful, allowing me space across platforms like TED Tech and Impact Alpha to host conversations about the future of climate that I’m deeply grateful for.
So the silence wasn’t about having nothing to say, it was much more focused on observing and paying attention to what isn’t being said that must be infused in the conversations we’re not having.
I’ve been thinking deeply about where climate, work, and opportunity are headed and how we talk about it matters. I’ll be sharing one essay a month here. Not noise. Just clarity.
My plan is to use this space to go deep on what I find to be interesting, conversations I’m having with founders and VCs, with leaders in the space, and even a bit of the political front that’s happening globally.
I’m not going to chase the news and I’ll be taking off my reporter hat to provide a bit steeper analysis, and pull together what I’m seeing across the ecosystem from separate but relevant discussions I’m participating in or observing.
I believe the future requires stronger translation, and when I say future, I mean what’s possible with a greener future.
Too many people feel overwhelmed by the climate conversation. It’s so big. So polarized. All over the place. And it can be both disorienting as well as disconnected from what we’re really looking to understand: what is the oportunity and how will massive shifts actually affect our lives, our families, our communities, and businesses?
Bringing clarity to the complexity is where my work lives. Regenerative, is where I’ll slow things down.
Here, I’ll translate the conversations happening at the interesction of climate, technology, capital, and culture. Not just what’s happening, but what it means, and how builders, operators, and everyday people can orient themselves toward what’s next.
Each month you can expect…
Clear takes on where opportunity is forming in the green economy
Stories from founders shaping big, scalable projects
Market analysis on where the green jobs are and the future of work is going
And finally, some reflections I’ll share as I build my next project and begin sharing with you all.
If you’re building, investing, navigating transitions, or simply trying to understand how the world is shifting beneath your feet in a changing climate, I’m glad you’re here.
And if anything resonates, feel free to reply to me or drop a comment. I read every note. Every note.
More soon,
Sherrell
